I would go with the LN40A450. Since it’s LCD and a newer model, it shouldn’t suffer from burn in if you watch a lot of TV or play games. Being that the PN is an older plasma, I’m not sure if it has burn in protection mechanism. Plus, Samsung doesn’t even list it on their site, so I’m sure it’s discontinued, and possibly headed for unsupported?!?
Plus, it looks like you can get the LN for less than $1000 USD if you shop around online. I could only find the PN at one place, and it was about $1100 USD plus shipping.
